Low Concentration SO₂ Cured Cold Box Resin

XYL I-200, XYL II-210 is mainly used for the production of copper, magnesium and aluminum alloy castings. XYL I-400, XYL II-410 is mainly used for the production of iron, steel and ferrous alloy castings.

Characteristics  
The mixture has overlong bench life, increase the productivity and utilization significantly. 
Excellent fluidity of the mixture within 24 hours, no mold sticking, smooth sand core (mold) surface. 
Hardened within several seconds at room temperature, energy saving, high productivity, less addition of resin, high strength, low gas emission, good collapsibility. 
Prominently improve the quality of the casting surface and dimensional accuracy, reduce blow holes and veining defects. 
Free of harmful gases like formaldehyde, phenol and amine, improve the working environment greatly. 




Specifications / Models





How to use

Moisture of original sand ≤0.2%, mud content ≤0.25%, temperature 15-40℃, granularity 55-150. Total resin addition rate is 1.2-2% by sand weight, Part I: Part II = 50:50. 

Blend the two parts of resins evenly firstly, then add into the sand mixer. If use low speed sand mixer, blend for 3-5 minutes. If use high speed sand mixer, blend for 45-90 seconds. 

Dry compressed air with dew point at temperature of -20 to -40℃ as SOcarrier.   
If use the core shooter, we recommend the sand shooting pressure ≤0.3Mpa, blowing time: cleaning time = 1:10. 

Sand mixer, core shooter, technical equipments could be employed universally with cold box process. Gas generator need be refit a little and the detergent of the exhaust gas purification tower need be changed to 10-15% sodium hydroxide water solution. 




Application Range

XYL I-200, XYL II-210 is mainly used for the production of copper, magnesium and aluminum alloy castings. 
XYL I-400, XYL II-410 is mainly used for the production of iron, steel and ferrous alloy castings. 




Packing and Storage

Sealed in 200L iron drum with 220kg net weight, or IBC tank with 1000kg net weight. 
Resin should be stored in well ventilated room at temperature of 10-30℃ to avoid water, fire source, heating source and direct sunshine. 
Shelf life could be six months if it meets the above conditions.
